Ann Wilson, Heart
I first photographed Heart at Oil Can Harry’s night club in Vancouver either ’71 or ‘72. This truly horrendous shot can be seen at www.pnwbands.com Their agent at the time had a habit of cutting up contact sheets and making collages. Shortly afterwards I talked the manager into a formal studio shoot. Those negatives are still buried somewhere in my archives and most likely unlabeled. When I do find them I will post the photos and add some comments on that shoot.
These photos of Ann and Nancy were taken in 1976 (I think). Heart headlined a big outdoor concert at Empire Stadium in Vancouver when they were at the top of the charts. I remember the Vancouver weather being magnificent for a change and the show completely sold out.
